About Coral Reef Conservancy Project
Coral Reef Conservation Project is a platform located at UC Davis to provide insight into what is currently happening in the coral reefs around the world and the implications it has on the marine ecosystem and human health. We work with reputable sustainable organizations and the government to leave a strong impact on the reefs. We live in a developed country with the power to drastically change the timeline of climate change for the better; however, with our current world issues, the people in power seem naive to the fact that the earth is currently deteriorating. We have taken it upon ourselves to remind the public of the coral bleaching crisis.

About Medha Rajagopalan Medha is a undergraduate student at University of California Davis. Because she is passionate about changing the face of climate change and ensuring that the essential coral species does not go extinct, she founded CRCP in 2020. Medha is compassionate but driven, so when given a chance, she will make a difference. Helping the community is one of her favorite activities, she currently has a gold and bronze presidential award for her involvement with the Rohingya Refugees in Chicago. She loves spending her time outdoors especially if it involves hiking and has been playing the piano for over 15 years. She has always been passionate about coral and all animals. Still, after hearing about mass bleaching and human contribution to the coral mortalities, she has decided to take the initiative and make a difference. She has done research for Headwaters Science Institute, her high school's competitive Advanced Scientific Investigation program, and the Pringle Lab at Stanford University to find a potential solution to this seemingly never ending crisis. |
